Welcome to Metalchemy, the only web site that features the work of Artist Derek Griggs aka Degsy.  Degsy Specialises in one off unique pieces of metalwork for furniture, sculpture and commission pieces.  Degsy is renowned for his intricate and detailed work, he believes that it takes weeks of study to find all of the hidden features of his work.  He has the rare ability to transform base scraps of material into glorious works of art.  His sense of fun and humour are forged throughout all of his work.

METALWORK, SCULPTURE AND ART - Degsy uses a variety of materials from scrap to iron to bronze.  Much of Degsy's work is suitable for both indoors and outdoors, as his work typically is weathered and finished to protect it indefinitely.

UNIQUE PIECES OR ART - Every piece that Degsy produces is unique and it will always be that way. Degsy believes that Every item should be completely unique, "I will never do the same piece twice, it wouldn't be fair otherwise".  Each piece is signed and numbered in multiple locations throughout each piece, these locations are recorded by Degsy to allow unique identification.

COMMISSIONS - Degsy completes many commissions of work; from small pieces one offs to multiple large scale items.  The limits are only your and his imagination and time. Click Here for More information....
